Description
This is a program that is offered through a Tripartite Agreement called "Canada, New Brunswick, First Nation Master Agreement" that was developed in 1983. The purpose of this program is to provided legislated Child Welfare Services to First Nation children and their Families in a culturally appropriate manner. There are eleven First Nation Agencies serving fourteen First Nations. The NSMDC Inc. has acted as a conduit for the position of Coordinator for the Fifteen First Nation in New Brunswick since 1990.
